"One day it occurred to me that it had been many years since the world had been afforded the spectacle of a man adventurous enough to undertake a journey through Germany on foot. After much thought, I decided that I was a person fitted to furnish to mankind this spectacle. So I determined to do it. This was in March, 1878." Mark Twain, A Tramp Abroad

Up on a Sardinian Wall

We arrived back from Alghero, Sardinia (a.k.a. big island off the coast of Italy) late last night full of sand, sunburns, photos, and great memories from a fun-filled few days at the beach. I've got tons of pictures and stories to share with you soon, but in the meantime here are a few pics from the top of the old wall surrounding the city of Alghero. It's definitely not the safest place to perch your toddler on top of, but it made for some excellent photos and some even better views.

  1. Great pictures! We lived in Italy for two years, but never made it to Sardinia. It looks gorgeous.

  2. OMG, your daughter is adorable, and clearly a good little traveler in training. When we used to travel with our oldest daughter (now 17yo ?!) I'd often get home and realize most of our pictures were of her in the hotel room. Glad to see the digital revolution has changed all that!
