"One day it occurred to me that it had been many years since the world had been afforded the spectacle of a man adventurous enough to undertake a journey through Germany on foot. After much thought, I decided that I was a person fitted to furnish to mankind this spectacle. So I determined to do it. This was in March, 1878." Mark Twain, A Tramp Abroad

Wir Gehen Nach Deutschland!

...this, I (the mother) am told, is German for "We're going to Germany!" For all I know, it could be Sumerian. But it is true nonetheless; we are, indeed, going to live in Germany - 'we', as in, the mother, the father, and the little one.

Here is the time frame:

July 30, 2009. USA to London

August 10, 2009. London to Marburg (the father)

August 15, 2009. London to Marburg (the mother and the little one)

October 1, 2009. Marburg to Heidelberg (the father, the mother, and the little one).

July 2010. Heidelberg to USA

Everything in between those dates is a wonderful mystery. Wish us a bon voyage (or a gute Reise!). And come visit us, bitte! ('bitte', I believe, = please)
